Engaging Preachers is a blog with a mission: to improve Christian apologetics from the lost sheep’s point of view!
My name’s Dave and I live in Sydney, Australia. Many times have I seen pastors and preachers, apologists and evangelists on the streets and at debates. I couldn’t help but notice their pleas falling on deaf ears. I rarely spoke, but listened often. I heard the same arguments over and over again… and I knew how to counter them!
I occurred to me that perhaps I could help them! I have many atheist friends, who often even laugh at the arguments for faith in Lord Jesus. Many times I have heard them tell me the weaknesses in the most common arguments for devotion to Jesus Christ!
In a trice, I knew what I would do. From that day forth, I would no longer listen in silence! I would go out and chat to the hard-working, selfless, loving proselytisers. I would listen to their arguments and offer constructive feedback, taking the position of an unsaved atheist. And I would report back here to you, dear Brothers and Sisters, Cousins, Aunties and Uncles of the Internet. Oh yea, verily. Henceforth, I have a mission. Henceforth, I shall be…
Engaging Preachers!
Wish me luck!
Alan says:
Good luck, Dave.
I for one would like to actually be challenged by something a theologian said. If we could help to stoke their fires, maybe we could actually get an interesting debate happening.
Can’t wait to see where you take this…
